Presented by: Holly Wells and Jennifer Alexander, Birch Horton Bittner & Cherot

Program Description:
With the spread of COVID-19, most industries are having to adjust their normal practices of conducting business. The legal profession is no exception. For the past several months, attorneys and law firms have been inundated with overwhelming blasts of information about the pandemic and relief measures taken by local and state agencies. On top of that, this information changes rapidly.

This program focuses on the ways in which coronavirus impacts the practice of law in Alaska, including but not limited to compliance with local and State of Alaska public health mandates and advisements, changes in compliance with and enforcement of employment and privacy laws and regulations, confidentiality concerns surrounding remote access, and the development and enforcement of office mitigation plans and safety and sanitation protocols.
